2011 Two Shepherds Pastoral Rouge

Tuesday, December 10, 2013 - Clear, med ruby color to a clear rim, med minus color concentration but viscosity is med plus. No staining. Nose is medium plus, warm raspberries, fresh strawberries, fresh blackberries. Lavender, sage, dried grasses, sandalwood. Palate is dry, confirms raspberries, strawberries and slightly underripe blackberries. Sage, mint, a touch of eucalyptus. Med plus acid, med to med minus body, med plus finish. A beautiful wine definitely outside the mold of most Rhones from the region. Light, easily drinkable and a superb food wine.
