91 Points

Sunday, April 19, 2015 - Fruit is taken from a north facing block planted on red volcanic soils in 1982. Very much from the new school of chardonnay in Australia: there is the sun ripened nutty richness that one would expect from a good season in the Yarra Valley, but this is nicely balanced by some lively, focused stone fruit and a twist of citrus. Quite a big wine, but it remains in check and not out of proportion. Good length. While drinking well now, I think this evolve for a number of years.
