Friday, February 5, 2016 - Loved this when first tasted around 2006 - those black fruit & tarry characteristics have mellowed with age. Now, ready to go. Loads of bloody meat, bacon, dark chocolate, toasted coconut & coffee grounds. Plums, raspberry ganache & smoked meat on the finish. Soft tannins & driving acidity. Super tasty. Solid 92 pts. Would drink now through 2020. Totally disagree with those who found this a fruit bomb or a boozy mess. Not even close; almost feminine how graceful this wine is.
