Monday, March 9, 2015 - 2004 and Charvin = restrain and finesse combined. While this wine is still about its hidden reserves, this is a much better bottle than the one I drank about a year ago. The nose is understated, perfumed and floral and there's lovely lavender and herbs on the palate. Ends with a fine note of tobacco. Not as expressive as the the 2004 Rayas I drank with Niels in Ampuis last week but in the same mold in terms of elegance and finesse. Happy to see this wine is coming back to life after a dull period (for me).
