Thursday, January 22, 2015 - If I had this wine blind I would guess this is a Malbec from Cahors. The nose and the initial palate are very French in style with soil, green veggies, followed by a kick of fruit punch. With a few hours of air it becomes increasingly herbal and floral. I could see it being off-putting for some. On day two I got a lot of violet and cedar box. It was at its best within an hour of being open so I'd say this is a good summer barbecue wine.
