Friday, February 27, 2015 - Great texture to the nose with wonderful underlying spice notes. Light funk aromas that are working to resolve themselves, but nonetheless quite pleasing. Firm tannins on the backpalate but still silky in feel. Some faint tartness on the backpalate as well; a different acid profile than the Romanee-Conti. A fantastic wine that will take quite some time to evolve and reach its peak. Opened 40 minutes prior to tasting, with an additional 15 minutes in the glass.
