Sunday, July 19, 2015 - Mod deep purple color. A bit more heat than the 2011 and will benefit from some cellar time. Aromas of leather, bramble fruits and wood smoke suggest a bolder wine, but this is a tad less burly, firm tannins notwithstanding. Red fruit and pepper flavors are there, but not overly so. Mouthfeel is velvet on the tongue yet bright on the palate. Very drinkable now, better in a couple years.
