Thursday, December 11, 2014 - Consumed over 2 days (vacuvined), note from day 2. Nose: Medium expressiveness, saddle leather, brambles, olives, ocean air, and dark fruit - black berry and black raspberry - more Rhone like than California. Palate: Medium-full bodied, black pepper and dark fruit attack, noticeable acid driven mid-palate lift, back-end turns a bit thin and rustic showing black olive, tobacco, and hints of iodine - though not in a bad way. Finish: Medium plus length dominated by stems, spice and dark fruit.
