Wednesday, February 10, 2016 - Holy Cow! Opened alongside a late 60s 6 Año white and a 1991 Bosconia Gran Reserva.

The '64 had an element of freshness that the others did not. Classic Riojo nose of dried fruit and a little barnyard/funk. Pallate was pure freshness and dried cherries. Blind, I would have guessed it was only a few years old. How can this thing be 51+ years!

Plenty of structure and acid on the back to carry this for a long while. Compared to the 1991s we've had recently, this is pure muscle and needs a bit more time. I'd guess 10-20 years or more. Glad there are 2 more in the cellar!
