Saturday, November 28, 2015 - Reductive just after opening. Drank the bottle over two days. After some time in the glass, aromas of cherries, dried roses, tar, wood and forest floor appears on the nose. In the mouth sour sweet berry fruits, cedar, tobacco and forest floor. Medium plus acidity, quite hefty and surprisingly green tannins. Very good structure and length. Day two the fruit came more in the background whilst wood, humus and forest floor became more dominant. I miss the finer nuances that have been present in previous wines from Roddolo. Maybe this was an odd bottle. For me this is a pure food wine.
