Tuesday, December 23, 2014 - Pinot purple in color. Aromas of spicy red berry jam and plum spread over toast. Nice use of oak. Medium body with a silky texture gliding southward in a soft wind. A sense of richness protrudes with finesse not becoming hearty but stylish. Jennifer Lopez in a sexy leather biker jacket. Oh, the finish lasts and lasts. Seriously, over a minute. Good acid to boot.

I popped and poured this just now. It needed no time at all. Unusual but a nice surprise as I anticipated waiting an hour. This Jensen is more rich than 09 and 10.

This clocks in at 14.9%abv which is to high for my liking. The booze comes through on the finish and lingers around like an annoying relative.

Overall I think it's a good wine with high complex value for those who enjoy this type of richness. I personally view high abv like this as a flaw. Sorry, I'm not into this trendy physiological maturity BS.
