Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - A couple years in the bottle really helped. The nose was a bit funky, but the wine still has plenty of life left with cherry and red berry fruit backed by refreshing acidity with leather and tobacco notes folding into the silky finish where pepper spice emerges along with more cherry and berry fruit. The tannins have integrated nicely as well, overall, no complaints for a 10 dollar Costco wine, great QPR. I held onto a couple of bottles on a whim a couple years ago, I will drink my other bottle in 2016 hoping for a bit more improvement as I am not confident the wine has peaked yet.
