96 Points

Friday, February 17, 2012 - Very concentrated dark red color. In the bouquet cassis, smoke, cedar etc.; very luxurious. On the palate full bodied and still a bit locked, even after double decanting 6 hours before tasting. Loaded with ripe cassis. A bit rustic. Pleasant sweetness, acidity and bitterness. A truly great wine. Wait until at least 2016. My score for now is 96, which is high, but the wine deserves it, certainly compared with other 2003 wines.
