Tuesday, January 9, 2007 - A very enjoyable wine from a half bottle. Strong wiff of vanilla on the nose. Plums, some cloves detected - a somewhat exotic nose. On the palate it is hard to believe this is a young Bordeaux in the sense that the tannins are pretty well buried under the rich fruit. No rough edges at all in fact very polished. Will this ever go through a sullen stage? It will look forward to trying this wine again after 2010. I would like to try this one with a horizontal of 03 Bordeaux. 94 pts.
