Wednesday, October 3, 2012 - This hit its stride after about 30 minutes of air time. Definitely a little forward for LP, but still with a good measure of elegance and finesse. Classic Bordeaux nose of dark red fruits wrapped with smoke, vanilla, cedar, and violets. Medium bodied palate, with the fruit slightly up in the mix, some good sour freshness, and tannins mostly resolved but showing a spine that should see this drinking well through the mid-term (5+ years). Medium finish with soft intensity.
