Saturday, May 31, 2014 - 3hr decant. Big ripe cherry and plum nose. Palate of rich tobacco and chocolate and a bit of savory and mineral elements to keep it tied down at least a little. Big and bold with all the new world detailing and slightly overly dry finish. Missing any real elegance or nuance, it's a bruiser from a ripe vintage. Some will love the rich dryness, but not my style but decent in it's type and lacking in precision and super opulent.
