Tuesday, October 27, 2009 - beautiful golden color. Nose is confit mirabelle, quince, confit mango and honey and a hint of wax. The wine is very concentrated and flavours are tense and precise.
Overall the wine is extremely balanced.The wine is technically medium dry, but the richness of the fruits makes it seem sweeter than what it is.
The texture is ample and very smooth. The finale is long.
This wine has been decanted almost 2 hours, which was probably a bit too much.

drunk with foie gras, the wine was a real treat. However, it was a bit overwhelm by the tokay rangen de thann from zind humbrecht
