Wednesday, December 9, 2015 - No formal notes, but this was one of the best wine-food pairings I have had in a long time. The opulence, ripe red fruits and spices (cinnamon, clove) in this wine went perfectly with the glazed ham tonight. All of us agreed it was a perfect match. Sad this is my last bottle.

My note is lame, I know, but just read CSIM's note below and that guy/gal nailed it. Ditto!

    12/9/2015 1:16:00 PM - The 2114 and 1376 Pinots are great, but I'd say Bevan's Petaulma Gap Pinot is even more complex and layered than the 2114 and 1376 (in my humble opinion at least). The Petaluma Gap is akin to a couple other wines Bevan makes under the Wren Hop label called "Royalty in Exile" and "Architects & Saboteurs," both of which are also phenomenal Pinots and worth checking out.
