Sunday, January 31, 2016 - Opened 2 hours prior. Dark purple garnet. Deep bouquet of dark fruit and some alcohol notes. Palate is wide and deep but very polished. Tannins are imperceptibly fine now but oak and tannin framework provide structure to the intense display of old vine fruit here. Very impressive balance although a style that will not be to everyone's liking.

Superb pairing with 7-hour lamb.
