90 Points

Sunday, May 20, 2012 - A Long Weekend of Burgs and a Few Others; 5/17/2012-5/20/2012 (Scottsdale, AZ): Ah Rousseau - I could have identified this double-blind just from the smell. Perfumed red fruits, spice and floral notes waft from the bottle. Flavors are red-fruited elegance, with perhaps a touch of unintegrated oak that keeps it from showing its best. Little secondary flavor development, just the glorious fruit. Very good but needs some more time to bring the oak into a seamless package. My discrete CT scale: 95-extraordinary; 90-very good; 85-good; 80-fair; 75-poor
