Sunday, October 4, 2015 - Riverain Dinner (My House In The South OC): Tasted next to the 2012 and 2013. This 2011 is the leanest and most different of the three, as it is juicier, less opulent. Sitting next to Brig Campbell, his tasting indicator of "dark raspberry" was an astute way to characterize the fruit. Also got the sense of some coffee and maybe a cherry type note, too. Certainly in the 2011, the vintage speaks, as much as it does beautifully in the 2011 Riverain Syrah.
