Monday, July 21, 2014 - Tasted this blind alongside a Brandlin '10, Peter Michael '07, and a Dunn '03. Medium ruby turning crimson at the rim with a nose of red fruits, leather and earth. Clearly this wine had received the benefit of age - and quite gracefully I might add. The palate has subdued nuances of cranberry, raspberry, dark cherry, and vanilla which have gained elegance, refinement, and complexity due to age. At the onset, the wine possessed a lengthy finish with hints of earth and dried herbs. This wine showed quite remarkably in an off vintage keeping a very good balance. Don't wait any longer. Drink now.
