Tuesday, November 25, 2014 - Some wineries always seem to hit a home run, and Caymus is one of them. Whether it's their cabernet, chardonnay, pinot noir, or this pinot noir blanc, the Wagner Family makes great wine.

This one has a very pretty salmon/pink color. Its label has a French term, Oeil de Perdrix, that translates to ‘eye of the partridge’ . The winemaker claims that this refers to the color of the wine. This Pinot Blanc has a nose of citrus and strawberries. It is fresh and clean with tastes of ripe raspberries, strawberries, apples, and melon. This wine is light to medium bodied, flavorful, tart, and refreshing. It also has ample acidity. It's finish is moderate and pleasant.
