Saturday, August 2, 2014 - Oh my. Fantastic South African Blend. Not normally fond of Shiraz-Cabernet blending but the Mourvedre has really filled a hole that is normally in Shiraz-Cabernet blends. On the nose typical South African shiraz notes, somewhere between Australia and France, closer to Washington. Worn leather, spice, ink and cola. On the Palate creamy game and oak meets blueberry streusel, meaty fruit, rustic spice and thick mouth coating tannins. Big wine. Love Luddite. for $30 CAD Great QPR for South Africa.
