Monday, February 28, 2011 - Wine in Portland (Maine) (Portland, Maine): Nose was lively and fresh! Color was remarkably youthful....was this a Harvey Rodenstock fake? Incredible amounts of lychee fruit nectar on the nose with some lingering minerals and white florals. Palate didn't have the youthfulness the nose did. It showed lemon herbs and some musky white flowers. This is the oldest Gewurztraminer I've had - and while it may not have been firing on all cylinders, it was a really fun wine to try.
