Monday, February 8, 2016 - The nose was dark and brooding, showing black cherry, dusty spice, and savory herbs. On the palate, it took a turn to the feminine side, as pretty inner floral and bright cherry tones came together with sweet herbs to create an unexpectedly brilliant and vibrant display of Cannubi fruit. It finished with a coating of fine tannin, tart berry and minerals. I was expecting a beast of a wine, and what I found was a beautiful purebred.
