Monday, February 8, 2016 - Chiara Boschis has made quite a testament to the Mosconi cru in the three short vintages leading up to 2011. Here I found an inviting display of earth, dark floral tones and undergrowth first, followed by rich red fruits and floral tones. On the palate, I found dark, center-focused textures ushering in a wave of blackberry, cherry, minerals and violet floral tones. All was kept firmly in check by a coating of fine tannin and brisk acidity, which played a push and pull of austerity versus mouthwatering freshness. The end result was quite attractive.
