Monday, November 27, 2006 - Decanted for 20 minutes. Medium-bodied wine that is dark ruby in color. On the nose, light berry fruit and flowers. On the palate, tart berry fruit and a hint of vanilla. The balance in this wine is off...the finish is dilute and fairly short at 15-20 seconds in length. The usually fine RC structure and grace is missing from this wine right now. The question becomes whether it is just in a dumb stage, or if this particular effort happened to miss the mark. At this point, a disappointing wine for the price.
