Wednesday, July 30, 2014 - Medium deep ruby color, coating the glass. Young aromas of black currant, espresso, mesquite smoke, dried lavender, bitter chocolate and grilled steak. Loses momentum on the palate with low acid and low tannin. Glycerin ripeness, full bodied, lots primary black fruit and sweet vanilla spice. Loses varietal character from the nose. Creamy texture, a little graininess to the tannins. Medium finish with some heat.
