Friday, July 10, 2015 - Medium ruby, clean but a little dim. Restrained nose, ripe plum and dark raspberry. Fresh strawberry leads the palate, mouth-filling with moderate acidity until end, sour raspberry, some salty savoury and earthy notes in the middle, subtle oak and vanilla in finish. Medium length, quite completed structure. Grainy tannins, medium bodied, a quality Central Otago under nice price (NZ$15).

Alc 13.5%, pH 3.55, RS 0. MC 3.5 stars, NZIWS 2014 Silver, New World 2014 Gold.

ap: 4/5, ar: 11/15, palate: 17/20, overall: 2+2/10
Total: 86/100
