Thursday, August 21, 2014 - 100% counoise, dark purple. Nose is mostly blackberries. The wine is lighter with the first sip, the color would suggest a heavier wine, red fruit, maybe bit of prune. Then a little hit of tannins, subtle. And pepper, spice in the aftertaste. Very pleasant, the fruit and pepper blends well. No bayleaf or liquorice which is present in some rhone villages and CdP.
Solo and with food.
Around 10 euro at Sablet.
