Sunday, October 5, 2014 - In my cellar since release at proper cellar conditions. Decanted and returned to bottle. Medium ruby color much like a mature red burgundy with some bricking at the edge. Smokey, meaty, plummy, blueberry and pepper on the nose. Soft lovely mouthfeel. Very peppery with some sour cherry, cedar, plum and blueberry on the finish. Much better than my reading of other reviews. Perfectly mature and a joy to drink. At the 4 hour mark after decanting the fruit has exploded with a richness that is superb. Upgrade another point at least from 93. Fantastic with a grilled fresh Venison backstrap.
