Friday, January 8, 2016 - tasted side by side with the 2012 Oonapais. the 2011 had a bit more woody note, cigar box on the nose. the profile of the 2011 is more Bordeaux like, less sweet than the 2012. a little more green bell pepper on the finish too. definitely more of an earthy profile than the 2012's fruit forward profile. of the two I prefer the 2012 but those who are Bordeaux fans might like the 2011 better.
