Friday, January 5, 2007 - Closing down... This was 92-95 when tasted four months ago. It was medium bodied, long, and subtle. Now it's feeling dark, austere & tannic, and upon decanting - simply peppery without any of the expected grenache fruit.

This is a darn shame. The 2004 Donjon was so exciting as a young star, one of the very best among the 2004 CdP's. The only stronger one I've tasted is the Cuvee du Quet... which I hope stays tame all throughout its' aging process.
