Tuesday, July 24, 2012 - Tasted from a half bottle over two nights, this was very enjoyable. Dark in the glass with a bit of sediment in the bottle. Nose of dark fruit, herbs and spice. There is raspberry on the palate with a long finish of tart cherry and pepper. Did I mention the long finish? The tannins are still present, so I feel there is life ahead for this wine. I picked up the half bottle at a close out so I could hold on to my last three full bottles to hopefully let them show me a more mature characteristic.
