Saturday, October 20, 2012 - Drank from a magnum. Paired with a boeuf bourguignon. Quite shut down at first; decanted and aired for a while - after two hours there was a short window where some pleasant aromatics showed up, and then rather quickly it faded in the glass.
Kirsch, sichuan peppercorn spice, some garrigue - I don't get any of the barnyard or smoke that other CTs have noted. Medium grip, rather low energy level, and acidity just a little astringent, but still a wine in balance. Like other 'trackers I see very little upside in storing this for much longer.
