Saturday, January 24, 2015 - We decanted this and drank relatively unceremoniously. It came across as a good quality, balanced, not overdone in any way California BDX blend. Not mind blowing or particularly special but a really nice wine. Not a QPR wine but not at all disappointing at the price. Fwiw it drank to my palate better than the particular bottle of Bionic Frog alongside it.

1/24/2015 2:01:00 PM - I don't think so Tim - in 10 years it'll be older but not necessarily better. Was nicely integrated already, and not sure I'd swap less fruit and tannin for more tertiary aspects but then again I don't have an old wine palate. It's good wine to be sure; just didn't command adoration like a 95+ point wine does.
