Sunday, August 16, 2009 - Drinking (and enjoying) since release and down to a few bottles. A light yellow color, nose of a blend of citrus, pears, slight oak and a slight nuttiness. This has been a food chard, nice acid and fruit balance, still has good length on the finish. One of Shafers best chard's IMO. As expected, not as fruit forward as when young, but now has some nice complexity to it. Went perfectly with a chicken piccata dish.
