Friday, May 30, 2014 - This wine took me a bit by surprise, not because I was expecting it to be bad but because I was not expecting it to be so good. Deep gold in color. Honeyed aromas of marigolds, candied lemon peel, ripe peach and nectarine, poached pears, and unsalted butter. Lithe and seamless on the palate, well balanced, with a refreshing lick of lime-accented acidity on the finish. I really couldn't have wished for a better showing for this wine.
