Monday, December 22, 2014 - This was fantastic. I think this is probably the most approachable young Rudius Napa Valley that I've had. This offers waves of luscious, black fruit, cassis, and prominent new oak notes of caramel and vanilla. I've found prior vintages a bit too tannic and tightly wound for my tastes, but Jeff has managed to soften it up a bit in this vintage. A real treat.
