Tuesday, October 22, 2013 - Pristine bottle, level into neck, perfect cork. Light colour, mature but lively appearance; the nose is light but open and quite attractive, with nice depth, bright red fruit, fresh bandages, sandy terroir, spice and a hint of toasty oak; the palate is quite light and lean but not too dry, the hint of strawberry sweetness is balanced nicely by well-integrated fresh acidity and ripe tannins; decent length. Not up to the standard of the 2000 tasted yesterday, lacks weight and stuffing but an attractive, mature wine nonetheless.
