91 Points

Saturday, January 2, 2016 - This has evolved nicely over the past year or so. Similar to '12 vintage I had of this bottling, but with more structure and complexity. Notes of dark fruit, pepper, violets, and layers of au jus. Firm, fine sweet palate-staining tannin, good mix of acidity and a nice lingering finish. I still find this young, and think it should continue to improve in about 1-3 years more in bottle. But it is approachable and less primary than when I last had this over a year ago, especially given a good decant and time to breathe.
