Wednesday, October 31, 2012 - Much improved over a few years ago. The fruit's in the backseat now although it still shows a little bit of briary oak. The restraint the fruit has taken on is exhibiting the tannic structure in a way that was never apparent before; it turns out it's actually fairly tannic but it has a refined grain. Geantet-Pansiot's wines usually show very well at this age, but this one seems to demand a few more years.
