96 Points

Friday, January 29, 2016 - Medium red color. Huge, complex aroma: wood smoke, roasted meat in that smoke, menthol, fresh macadam, black pepper, olives. On arrival medium fine tannin and medium acidity. Cranberry fruit, barbeque meat, olives, balsamic vinegar. Incredible finish. Pristine cork, high neck fill, coldl cellared for fifteen years. Bottle #15 of twenty-four. Postscript: Saved the remaining 1/4 bottle corked in fridge. On 2/1, the texture, flavor and aroma had intensified significantly. Probably would have scored this higher than 96.
