Saturday, January 17, 2015 - Very good wine, interesting progression while open. Cola and blackberry at first pour, then more notes of cedar and petrol on top of the black fruit. Very refined and tasty, balance is outstanding (sub-14% abv, nice acidity driving the mid-palate, fine integrated tannins). Finishes cleanly, really hitting on the cedar and petrol. The only downside is that by the last glass the finish was more 'graham cracker' than anything else, a bit oaky or confected.

Oddly enough, struck me as a slightly higher end version of a Napa meritage I found last year at TJs. Not sure how much varietal character is here, but certainly is a pleasure to drink.
