Saturday, June 22, 2013 - Just wonderful! Nose of tart cherries, roasted Provence spices, leather, just a hint of brett and old cellar funk. With time in the glass though, the heat from this vintage became more evident with some pruney notes.
The palate was just so wonderful, Classic chateauneuf and Classic Pegau! Elegant sweet, but also tart red cherries, crushed Black pepper, some nice tannins that made the palate dry out a little in the end, but in a good way. Just terrific! It can be drunk now, but could easily be saved for many more years.
