Thursday, April 30, 2015 - Totally magic in a bottle. This profound 2003 Pégaü Cuvée Réservée displays abundant classical Grenache fruit. Kirsch, raspberry, blackberry and sun warm strawberries emerges with some time in the glass. The wine is perfectly mature but still has many years to go in the cellar. The nose in this bottle is as clean as all other 2003s I have tasted. After some time in the glass cinnamon, Asian spice box and tea leaves reveal themselves. The palate is lovely. It is perfectly integrated with a lovely acidity, velvety tannins and a length on the finish which goes on forever. Without a doubt, this is a profound wine with awesome complexity, elegance and power. (score is 98+)

The above tasting note is for the first bottling of this wine.
