Friday, December 7, 2007 - Bought of the list @ Sierra Mar (big sur $135). The deal of the wine list and this one didnt disappoint. This wine needs at least 2 hours in the decanter though, probably more. It wasnt until that point that it achieved heights, oh how I'd love to have a properly decanted bottle. Not over the top/ripe as Ive read from others either imo. No funk here either. Not a ton of experience with true (france)Rhone yet but this was by far the best Ive had. Nose, depth, complexity, super finish, it has it all.
