Saturday, May 9, 2015 - Some Blind Cali Reds: Light purple color. Nose shows blackberry jam, dark plum sauce, topped with sweet mocha, coconut, caramel, hints of earth and pepper underneath. Full-bodied and rich, medium tannin medium-low acid, a chewy structure. The raspberry, blackberry and plum fruit is ripe, a bit candied, backed up by elements of coconut cookie, hazelnut coffee and root beer. Ripe, chewy, a bit short on the back-end. Drink now. 47% Petite Sirah, 45% Syrah, 5% Grenache and 3% Mourvedre.
