Saturday, January 24, 2015 - So it appears as though I'm the only sap that has consumed this bottle thus far. Wise decision, considering that it needs about another year of bottle aging. This winery overall should just now be releasing their 2010's....the 2011's should be in the bottle and away from hands....like mine. An excellent 09 and 10 Cab Franc made me very curious to try the 11. Interestingly, I believe that their quality is right up there where it should be. This is a well made wine, perhaps a little more thin than the 09 or 10. The 11 bursts with notes of dusty black cherry. Medium to full bodied wine that took probably 3 hours to open up (somewhat). Rutherford dust on the finish (along with a lot of tannin). Still quite an enjoyable wine to have with lunch....and not sure if the longevity of this one is on par with previous vintages. But it won't be showing its true colors in 2015 that's for sure! Wait until 2016!!!
